Methodology

A successful project hinges on so much more than just aesthetics. Careful analysis of consumer wants and needs coupled with strategic execution is critical to the delivery of a successful solution. At Tekegy, we follow a proven project development process that has been mostly influenced by Microsoft MSF, which offers highly customizable, scalable, fully integrated set of software development processes, principles, and proven practices designed to deliver the type of guidance desired by the user when and where it is needed.

We have 4 major phases within a project life cycle:

  • Discovery
  • Conceptualization
  • Implementation
  • Deployment

 

These high-level phases all depend on several deliverables and milestones to move the project forward. Our seasoned team of project managers are here to help guide you through the process with clarity and ease. So, where do we start? The first step in your project will be the Discovery Phase.

Discovery

The first phase in your project is the Envisioning & Discovery phase. It is during this phase that our team spends a lot of time getting to know you and your business. During this phase our business analysts and project coordinators will define and refine with you the business requirements and the overall goals of the project. Alignment of business and IT priorities in this phase is crucial. During this phase, the team also begins identifying and mitigating risks.

Once we achieve a thorough understanding of your business requirements, we will make tactical recommendations of how to best achieve your goals. As your IT Partner, we will help you make strategic decisions about the course of the project and desired solution.

The Envisioning & Discovery phase culminates in the vision-approved milestone, which indicates that the team and customer agree on the project direction.
The information that we uncover during this phase will provide us with the roadmap for our Conceptualization Phase.

Conceptualization

The second phase in your project is the Conceptualization & Planning Phase. During this phase our Business Analysts and Project Coordinators will take the inspiration you've provided them and come up with a concept for your review - keeping in mind usability, best design practices, and ease-of-use.

During this phase our team will plan the development and makes requirements more specific. They will Determine the overall architecture of your project as well choose the most appropriate technology to be used to implement your desired functionality.

Now that we have decided on the requirements of your project and we have identified all the different modules and components to be constructed, we are ready to start constructing the site in our Implementation Phase.

Implementation

The third phase in your project is the Implementation Phase. With a finalized design in hand, our team is move from project planning to project development.

Also, despite the common belief that development takes place in isolation and no further customer input is required once the project has started. We believe the exact opposite to be true. To avoid the risk of delivering too much, too little or even something that does not meet your requirements 100%, close collaboration between your business and our project team is essential. Through weekly meetings and presentations we keep you fully updated of the project progress so you can provide your feedback into the project as early as possible to ensure the end product meets your expectations.

As different modules and components of the project are being developed our Quality Assurance Engineers will continuously test the different functionalities and make sure that everything works impeccably and that all the agreed upon functionalities are implemented according to your requirements. Once the Development and Testing phases are done we are now ready to enter our Deployment Phase.

Deployment

The fourth and final phase of your project is the Deployment Phase. Once your project is built it is time to go live
Prior to going-live we will need to do the following:

  • Thoroughly test, test, test to assure you receive high quality solution. 
  • Collect and integrates feedback on the released version
  • Have our Quality Assurance department give the stamp of approval for meeting project requirements, usability and technical standards, and design excellence.
  • Determine a launch plan for your new solution (Users training, marketing collateral, ads, email blasts, etc.)
  • Prepare for the next version.
